Ege University Bioengineering Department, founded in 2000, will organise the 7th annual Bioengineering Days within the Vth International Bioengineering Congress activities. Since it is a multidisciplinary branch of science which adopts the principles and tools of traditional engineering and applies them to the analysis and solution of problems in a very wide range of applications including industrial, commercial and consulting areas of biotechnology, bioengineering is on the rise and there is a fast-growing demand for well-trained bioengineers. Therefore, it is of great importance for the E.U. Bioengineering Department to bring former and future graduates and the representatives of industry in contact to encourage negotiation and cooperation on bioengineering applications and industrial experiences among them. “Bioengineering Days” has always been a convenient and fruitful means to achieve this goal since it was first introduced in 2004.
